D55 in Assen - Marsdijk

D54 is the last real hunebed. D55 only exists in my garden. I built it in June 1997 just for the fun of it. There are more imitations of hunebedden in Drenthe, but of most of them the proportions are not correct. This one is correct on a scale of 1 to 8. It consists of 5 capstones, 10 side and 2 endstones, 3 passagestones and 24 kerbstones. I found most of the boulders myself. This model can best be compared with D15 in Loon, the only real hunebed in my place; same type and proportions. Costs: a few drops of sweat...
